DressMatcher may earn a commission when you click a link to a retailer's website and make a purchase there. This comes at no extra cost to you — you pay the same price you would pay going to the retailer directly. This page explains how that works, in the plain language required by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guides (16 CFR Part 255).
DressMatcher is a dress discovery tool: we index dresses from retailers across the internet and link you straight to the retailer's own product page to purchase. We don't sell dresses ourselves. Some of those outbound links are, or may become, affiliate links through affiliate networks such as Rakuten Advertising, Impact, CJ Affiliate, Awin, Sovrn Commerce, and FlexOffers, which connect us with retailers ranging from major department stores to boutique dress brands. When you click an affiliate link and buy something, the retailer pays us a small referral commission.
Search results on DressMatcher are ranked by how well each dress matches what you described — attributes like length, silhouette, fabric, color, occasion, and price. Ranking also uses small quality signals, such as how shoppers engage with a dress and the general reliability of the retailer's catalog data. Commission rates and affiliate relationships are not an input to ranking or to which dresses are shown: a dress from a retailer that pays us nothing is ranked exactly the same way as an identical dress from a retailer that does. Retailers cannot pay for higher placement, and we do not hide or demote dresses based on whether we have an affiliate relationship with the retailer.
Prices, sizes, and availability shown on DressMatcher come from each retailer and can change between the time we index them and the time you visit. The retailer's product page is always the source of truth for current pricing and stock. Whether or not a link is an affiliate link has no effect on the price you pay.
Affiliate commissions are how we keep DressMatcher free to use, without ads and without selling your data. If a recommendation ever stops being the best match for your search, no commission is worth showing it to you — relevance comes first, always.
